Honey Soy Meatballs — Interactive video experience

These golden, juicy beef meatballs are glazed in a rich, sticky honey soy and hoisin sauce, and served in crispy lettuce cups. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick family dinner or dinner party entree. And you properly already have all the ingredients in your pantry!

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the beef mince, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, ginger, spring onions and soy sauce until just combined.
  2. Roll into golf-ball-sized meatballs.
  3. Heat oil over medium heat, and cook the meatballs for a few minutes, turning occasionally, until browned.
  4. Mix together the honey, soy sauce, hoisin, vinegar, sesame oil, and chilli. Add the sauce to the pan along with water. Baste meatballs with the sauce for 10-15 minutes until they are completely cooked. Add the cornflour slurry and glaze the meatballs with the thickened sauce.
  5. Serve in lettuce cups with rice noodles, top with sesame seeds, herbs and extra sauce.
